- Someone needs help me on these lists
Here is what we wrote down that we wished we would have brought in 2009
- Cards
- Fabric Chairs
- Sun Tarp to tie betwen trees
- Ear buds for music listeners so we don't have to share :)
- Separate tent for snorers
- more coffee than we brought
- Charcoal
- 100ft cords for the campsite (mostly for chargers)
- Bird Book and maybe Binoculars
- Fishing stuff
- Horse Shoes !!!!
- 2nd cooler
Having said the above, there is definitely the challenge of too much stuff, so if we really had brought all this stuff might have wished we left some behind
Here is what we brought this year that was helpful
- Bike repair stand
- Bike repair bucket full of supplies and tools
- Extra cycling gear (jerseys etc)
- Extra tires !! we did not use them but were very surprised because some of our tires were pretty lumpy on the sidewalls
- Windex 2 clean bikes and windshields
Open Truck Extras:
If you take an open truck instead of the big trailer again next time, there are a couple challenges that are worth considering:
- Tie downs, especially lighter items, was a bit of a challenge. Some kind of system would have really helped, not sure what.
- Make sure that nicer bikes that don't want to get stratched are willing to contribute sleeping bags for road wrapping.
- There was no freaking way we could have taken more than one more rider with the truck we had, too much gear and bikes and crap.
